A Saker Rapx will contest this year’s GT Cup Championship in the hands of Alan Purbrick and David Brise. The EJM Preparation team will prepare the machine, which runs a two-litre four-cylinder engine. Purbrick raced the car last season alongside Gary Duckman. David Brise graduates to the GT Cup from Formula Ford. He is the nephew of Tony Brise, who drove for both Williams and the Embassy Hill F1 Team in 1975. Purbrick said: “We’ve boosted the engine from 275bhp to 300bhp and we’re expecting to have some proper races. We’ve also bought a second car and we’re looking for drivers for it.”
