The Honda World Touring Car Championship team was cleared of any breach of the technical regulations after checks last Sunday at the Hungaroring.

Stewards decided to investigate the flat floors of all four Honda Civics after Saturday’s qualifying session, but could not complete their findings before the start of the first race, which meant the qualifying result – on which the grids for the two races were based – remained provisional.

The results of Sunday’s races were provisional until the conclusion of the investigation, but a statement released later that day confirmed that the cars were compliant.

Rob Huff had challenged for victory in the second race, until a drivethrough penalty ended his hopes ( see story above).
