Day three: 34.35 miles; 3 stages
Weather: cloudy 6 to 14 celsius Final-morning thriller works out well for Paddon. Volkswagen content with two cars on the podium and an increased advantage in the manufacturers’ race. Sordo closes on Mikkelsen, but the Norwegian’s done enough to hold third. Neuville takes sixth, edging Ligato by 9.7s, while Solberg drops time on the final day and finishes behind the second factory Fiesta of Camilli. Nicolas Fuchs benefits from Latvala’s powerstage problem (the Finn fixes his motor and drives across the line a massive 27m37.6s slower than Paddon) to move into the top 10 overall – meaning a double celebration with his WRC2 success ( see box, right).
