Gunn-ing for race wins after podium
Reigning British GT4 champion Ross Gunn believes he and Andrew Howard will be fighting for race wins for the rest of the season after securing his first podium in just his second GT3 start last weekend.
Gunn, who lifted the GT4 crown with Beechdean alongside Jamie Chadwick last year, stepped up to partner reigning GT3 champion Howard in the number one Aston Martin Vantage to replace Jonny Adam for this term.
Howard insisted at the start of the season that the team was not expecting wins this year, but he and Gunn finished third at Rockingham.
Gunn, 19, said: “I feel we’re ready to start fighting for, and winning, races.
“Andrew is very keen to play it down but we know deep down we want to win and I’m feeling good in GT3. I’ve clicked with the car quickly and Andrew and I have found a set-up that works so we’re full of confidence.”
