Sports-racers join GTS in Silverstone demo
Sports-prototypes from the 1990s will take part in demonstration sessions at the Silverstone Classic under the ’90s Endurance Legends’ tag.
Prototypes like the Ferrari 333SP and Riley and Scott will join the existing 1990s GT cars in the reworked high-speed track sessions on both Saturday and Sunday of the late July event. The 333SP was conceived in 1993 for Ferrari’s return to sportscar racing after a 20-year absence.
“There will be some beautiful cars you don’t see anywhere else,” said event boss Nick Wigley. “They’re equally attractive cars as the GTS from that period and it broadens the interest.”
