Priaulx family celebrates podiums across Europe as Seb scores
Sebastian Priaulx secured his first podium finish in the Ginetta Junior championship the day after his father came second in the GTE Pro class at the World Endurance Championship’s Spa Six Hours to cap a rewarding weekend of racing for the Guernsey family.
Andy Priaulx had finished on the Spa podium with his Ford team-mates Marino Franchitti and Harry Tincknell, and then travelled to Thruxton to watch his son take a rookie class win in the Ginetta Junior opener and third overall in the second, both of which took place on Sunday.
“It was a really interesting second race,” said Sebastian Priaulx after race two. “It’s great to be third [and] we were fighting for the lead to be honest. It’s a great feeling – I love it.”
