Questions over prize-winner Martin’s British F4 campaign now FKS series has collapsed
The demise of FKS has left a question mark over whether Ross Martin ( right) can complete the British F4 season.
The Fortec Motorsports driver was Super FKS champion last year and won a fully funded drive in F4 as part of a relationship between the categories.
“His seat is secure for now,” said Fortec team manager Dan Mitchell, who added that Martin would have to raise the budget to ensure he finishes the season.
“There are four weeks until the next round and a gap after the next two so there’s a long time to try and sort it out. We are confident we can keep him.”
Allan Mcnish protege Martin said: “I’m disappointed [that FKS has collapsed] but I’m very grateful for how they’ve helped my career.”
He finished third in the final race at Donington Park but had a tough time at Thruxton, with a brace of ninth place finishes.
