Rare March will return to the circuits in Richard Piper’s hands
One of only five March 75S two-litre sports-racing cars ever built is back on track this season with seasoned racer Richard Piper.
Greg Caton has restored the car for Piper and they will share the driving across CER and Pre80 Endurance races this season. When new, chassis 3 was sold for use in the French Hillclimb Championship and has done very little racing to date.
“Greg Hart was the previous owner, but he only did one test with it in 2006 at Brands Hatch and it was damaged when the suspension broke,” said Caton, who acquired the car from Hart.
This weekend, Caton’s team will take two examples of the March 75S to the CER race at Spa as the team also prepares the 75S owned and raced by Doug Hart, brother of Greg. Caton owns a third 75S, which is currently a rebuild project.
