Le Mans Lola to return to La Sarthe
A Lola T292 that finished fourth in class at Le Mans in 1975 will return to the circuit in July for the Le Mans Classic.
The two-litre Bdg-powered Lola sports-racer has been owned by engine builder Geoff Richardson since 1973, and in ’75 he ran it for Nigel Clarkson and Derek Worthington.
Now James Claridge, who works with Richardson, will take it back to France after getting an entry for the Classic. “It has been ready to race for several years and when we got the Le Mans entry we had to get it out,” said Claridge who raced it at Donington recently.
