TV GUIDE

Motor Sport News - - Have Your Say -

It’s a well balanced TV guide this week as rallying and circuit racing begins to hit full stride.

In the rallying world, highlights of some major UK championships are on offer, beginning with a controversial British Rally Championship round in Carlisle (Saturday, 07300800hrs, Channel 4 and Sunday, 1630-1730hrs, BT Sport 2). The event featured a third different winner in three rounds, and issues with the event caused some discontent with teams and drivers.

Also in Carlisle was the British Historic Rally Championship, which like the BRC also crowned a new winner after Jason Pritchard had opened the first two rounds with victory (Friday, 2135-2235hrs, Motors TV).

Finally, we reach the muddiest of this week’s entries, from the MSA British Cross Country Championship. Highlights of the opener in Myherin are on Wednesday 19252030hrs, Motors TV.

Back to circuit racing and there are plenty of options available as well as all the action from Barcelona ( see live F1).

BT Sport is offering up a mammoth two hours of the second rounds of British GT and BRDC F3 that graced Rockingham recently (Friday, 08301030hrs, BT Sport 2), while there’s plenty more on offer from abroad.

It’s difficult not to be a fan of the DTM, which opened its season last weekend with the traditional Hockenheim curtain-raiser (Wednesday, 19002000hrs, BT Sport 2). It features some of the fastest touring cars in the world, wheel to wheel. What’s not to like?
