Late per­mit is costly for Mighty Mi­nis

Mighty Mi­nis cham­pi­onship or­gan­iser Rodger Tello blamed the late award­ing of the cat­e­gory’s MSA cham­pi­onship per­mit for the low num­ber of en­tries at its open­ing round at Cad­well Park last week­end.

The MSA only con­firmed the per­mit on Fri­day, lead­ing to a small en­try and the Su­per and

Mighty class races be­ing com­bined. Only four Su­per cars com­peted in Lin­colnshire, with 15 cars on the grid.

“A group of our com­peti­tors are based in the south west, so it is a long way for them to travel when it might not be for points,” ex­plained Mighty Mi­nis owner Tello.
