John Grif­fiths, the Here­ford-based rally driver and co-driver, died ear­lier this month at the age of 77. Grif­fiths first came to promi­nence as co-driver for Bar­rie ‘Whizzo’ Wil­liams when they won the first Welsh In­ter­na­tional Rally in 1964. Grif­fiths en­joyed suc­cess in both seats and drove his own Mini Cooper on club ral­lies through­out the 1960s.
