Road to Le Mans race gets 39 entries
The inaugural Road to Le Mans race has attracted a 39-car entry.
The 24 Hours support race has both LMP3 and GT3 cars, with 22 prototypes and 17 GTS entered as part of the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup Series.
The hour-long race will take place on June 18 – the Saturday of the Le Mans weekend.
Martin Brundle will race in the LMP3 division and will be joined by fellow ex-f1 driver Jan Lammers, who will drive the Racing for Holland car.
“It is going to be fun against Martin,” he said. “We’ll both be looking to give our teammates as much seat time as we can in practice. In qualifying it will be down to us.”
Ginetta has entered one of its P3s, while a number of British teams have entered GT3. TF Sport will run two Aston Martin Vantages, FF Corse has entered a Ferrari F488, Tockwith Motorsports will compete with its Audi R8 LMS. Barwell Motorsport will field a Lamborghini Huracan.
