Road to Le Mans race gets 39 entries

The in­au­gu­ral Road to Le Mans race has at­tracted a 39-car en­try.

The 24 Hours sup­port race has both LMP3 and GT3 cars, with 22 pro­to­types and 17 GTS en­tered as part of the Miche­lin GT3 Le Mans Cup Se­ries.

The hour-long race will take place on June 18 – the Satur­day of the Le Mans week­end.

Martin Brun­dle will race in the LMP3 di­vi­sion and will be joined by fel­low ex-f1 driver Jan Lam­mers, who will drive the Rac­ing for Hol­land car.

“It is go­ing to be fun against Martin,” he said. “We’ll both be look­ing to give our team­mates as much seat time as we can in prac­tice. In qual­i­fy­ing it will be down to us.”

Ginetta has en­tered one of its P3s, while a num­ber of Bri­tish teams have en­tered GT3. TF Sport will run two As­ton Martin Van­tages, FF Corse has en­tered a Fer­rari F488, Tock­with Mo­tor­sports will com­pete with its Audi R8 LMS. Bar­well Motorsport will field a Lam­borgh­ini Hu­ra­can.
