RGB driv­ers fall foul of ride height rul­ing

Thir­teen cars were ex­cluded from the open­ing RGB Cham­pi­onship race at Croft last week­end af­ter fail­ing post-race ride height checks.

Race win­ner Billy Al­bone was also ex­cluded but was later re­in­stated af­ter a suc­cess­ful ap­peal.

“We had checked it be­fore the race but con­tact had bowed the split­ter, so we failed un­til film footage con­firmed it for us,” said Spire GT3 driver Al­bone, who went on to win race two as well.

Seven other Spire GT3S were ex­cluded, along with Ian Kemp­son’s MK Con­tour, Char­lie Thomas’ Mit­tell MC-52, Daniel Larner’s Mit­tell MC-52B, Do­minic Gu­lotti’s AB Arion S2, Sian Stafford Atkin­son’s Aries Sabre G2 and Stephen Bell’s MNR GM3.

No driv­ers were ex­cluded from the sec­ond race.
