Brabham career’s Goodwood party
The life and career of Sir Jack Brabham will be celebrated at the Goodwood Revival Meeting in September.
Brabham, who raced at the Revival as recently as 2000, died in April 2014 aged 88. Track demonstrations will pay tribute to Brabham, both as a racer and a constructor, on the 50th anniversary of his final World Championship win.
Also to be celebrated will be the 50th anniversary of Formula 1’s move to three-litre engine regulations for 1966, when Brabham won his third World Championship in his Brabham-repco BT19. It remains the only title for a driver competing in a car bearing his own name.
