Not many motorsport champions get crowned in May, but the winterbased Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship concluded last month and this week there’s a chance to catch the excellent Special Stage Tv-produced action.
The glinting Ford Escort Mk2 of James Sharrock/stuart Faulds became inaugural champions but thre’s plenty of reason to watch as they didn’t win the Snetterton event. You’ll have to watch to find out who did…(friday, 21002205hrs, Motors TV).
Sticking with rallying – but onto gravel – this week is the chance to see Marty Mccormack and his surprise one-off co-driver win the Tour of Sperrins in Northern Ireland. There were other British Rally Championship stars in action too (Thursday, 1030-1100hrs, BT Sport 2).
This weekend, the British Cross Country Championship heads to Scotland, but there’s a chance to catch up with round two at Bovington also on offer. Crazy machinery and sideways action is a must (Wednesday, 1925-2030hrs, Motors TV).
Last weekend we had the Indy 500, which is an event you simply can’t miss each year. Another close finish promised (Wednesday, 1830-1930hrs, Motors TV).
Closer to home, action from BRDC F3 (Saturday, 13001405hrs, Motors TV) and British GT (Saturday, 1925-2030hrs, Motors TV) which were in action at Oulton Park in its new May slot moved from April bank holiday weekend.
From the club scene, there’s all the action from Croft and the 750 Motor Club, followed immediately by the latest round of Formula Jedi (Thursday, 1720-2030hrs, Motors TV).
