Brecon Motor Club will be organising the 27th Stephens and George Harry Flatters Rally this year over the well known iconic stages of the Epynt ranges.

On Sunday July 31, competitors from the Mintex British Historic Rally Championship and four other championships will descend to do battle. With 70 stage miles on smooth Tarmac over just five special stages, it will be essential that pace notes are finely tuned and cars prepared well for this epic challenge.

The event comprises of a National A Historic Rally and a National B Modern Rally, both run as one on the road but there will be a big battle for honours as last year’s historic winners Jason Pritchard and Phil Clarke vie to take another victory in their Ford Escort RS1800 while previous modern winner Damian Cole will hope for glory in his Ford Fiesta WRC with Paul Morris.

Whilst this pair battle for top honours there will be a host of other competitors out to succeed in their particular classes or just enjoy themselves in an attempt to get a finish on some of the longest and smoothest Tarmac stages available in the country. Regardless of car or budget Brecon Motor Club will treat everyone equally.

Spectators will be more than welcome and two viewing areas have been arranged for the first four stages and a further two for the final test. With safety at the forefront of the organiser’s agenda the areas planned offer safe panoramic viewing with facilities present to make the day even more enjoyable. Anyone planning to attend is asked to access the ranges by the official means which will be advertised at breconmotorclub.co.uk the week before the event.

Most importantly we ask that spectators respect any instructions given by event marshals.
