Junior Saloons star takes first podium in series
A British teenager who has been offered a test with the American TRG Aston Martin team secured his first podium in cars in the recent Junior Saloon Car Championship round.
Luke Browning ( right), 14, finished third in the second JSCC race at Donington Park earlier this month despite being the youngest driver on the grid. He has already impressed coaches Chris Hodgetts and Tom Oliphant and TRG bosses – who have offered Browning a test when he turns 16 years old.
British GT star Jonny Adam has contested the Daytona 24 Hours race with the TRG squad in the past.
“It’s Luke’s first season of car racing and he’s racing against drivers who have been racing for three years,” said his father Matt. “He has surprised us at how quickly he’s got a podium!
“He’s also been offered some open-wheel drives when he’s 16 but will probably do a couple of years of Saxos [in the JSCC] first.”
