Ginetta star Wrigley wants endurance run
Ginetta GT4 Supercup points leader Tom Wrigley aims to move into endurance racing for 2017.
He took part in the Vdev Championship Four Hours of Le Mans in April in a Ginetta G57 prototype alongside Bradley Ellis and Andrew Cummings, finishing ninth after suffering gearbox problems.
“That was a very good experience,” Wrigley said about his debut race on the Bugatti Circuit. “I got us up to second but then sadly we had a gearbox issue. I enjoyed it and it’s definitely something I’d like to go back and do.
“I’ll be looking to move up into endurance racing. I think that’s going to be the future for me so we will just have to see how this year goes and see what’s available at the end of it.”
Wrigley, who drives for Rob Boston Racing in the Supercup, is hoping to race the Ginetta G57 again before the end of 2016.
