Devine to make abroad debut
Irish Tarmac Championship regular Callum Devine is also planning an outing in Ypres.
The Opel Adam R2 driver will be joined by international co-driver Alex Kihurani, who is experienced on the event where notes are important. Some drivers have as many as five levels of ‘cuts’ in the notes to take advantage of the Belgian roads.
After competing on the Circuit of Ireland, where he finished 40th overall, Devine has wanted to get back into European championship competition ever since.
“It’s pretty much done, we had many different plans for how to get there, but we should be going anyway,” said Devine.
“It’s my first time rallying out of the country, I can’t wait now. When the circuit came over here we really got a taste for it [the ERC].”
Devine is also looking at more British championship rounds, with his next entry likely his home event, the Ulster Rally.
