Robinson encouraged by Fiat’s pace on a demanding Carlisle Stages
Matthew Robinson says that finishing top BTRDA historic on the Carlisle Stages is another step forward for the Fiat 131 project from Rally Sport Developments.
Robinson was a late entry for Carlisle after sliding off the road on the second stage of the previous weekend’s Severn Valley Stages. “The car is lot better but will still need a bit more,” said Robinson. “If we get two or three more events under our belt we should be really ready to attack them.”
The target for the Fiat project is to get the car onto competitive terms with leading BHRC Ford Escort Mk2 drivers like Jason Pritchard and Nick Elliott.
