Tin-top stars out at Silverstone Classic
The Heritage Touring Car Challenge will have a record grid of more than 50 cars when it makes its stand-alone debut at the Silverstone Classic.
As one of the races on ‘Tin Top Sunday’ (July 31), the series for pre-1990 touring cars has attracted an outstanding entry including World Touring Car champion Rob Huff in a Ford Capri.
Boosted by the success of the Gerry Marshall Trophy race at Goodwood, the entry will included a dozen threelitre Capris, eight Rover SD1S and two Chevrolet Camaros.
Former BTCC race winner Jeff Allam will race the Bp-liveried Ford Capri he first raced in 1979.
