‘Pur­suit of Power’ is themed

This year’s Fes­ti­val of Speed is cel­e­brat­ing the most pow­er­ful com­pe­ti­tion ma­chines ever pro­duced un­der the head­ing of ‘Full Throt­tle; the end­less pur­suit of power’.

The cars and bikes in ac­tion will in­clude turbo F1 cars, pre-war Sil­ver Ar­rows Grand Prix cars, Can-am sports-rac­ing cars, aero-en­gined mon­sters from the early years of the sport and Group B rally cars.

The Can-am cat­e­gory will also be cel­e­brated to mark the 50th an­niver­sary of its first sea­son, while a gag­gle of Ford GT40S will hon­our 50 years since the model’s first Le Mans wins.

The 40th an­niver­sary of James Hunt’s World Cham­pi­onship will be fea­tured with a dis­play of many of his race cars.
