Zane God­dard hadn’t taken a podium be­fore Croft – now he’s se­cured three. The Aussie Dou­ble R driver claimed his maiden win in the opener and picked up two fur­ther sec­ond places in an im­pres­sive week­end.

God­dard came close to that first vic­tory at Oul­ton Park after lead­ing from pole but crashed out. There was no re­peat in York­shire as he was able to main­tain the lead at the start. He con­tin­ued to hold off Devlin De­francesco un­til the safety car was de­ployed in the clos­ing stages after Patrik Matthiesen and Jack Bu­tel col­lided. This set up a one-lap dash and De­francesco at­tempted a pass on the restart but God­dard was able to ro­bustly de­fend.
