Kurt Busch be­lieves that F1 needs to make more of so­cial me­dia to in­crease its fan base around the world. While For­mula One Man­age­ment has made more of an ef­fort to en­gage via so­cial me­dia net­works this sea­son, there are re­stric­tions on what driv­ers and teams can do dur­ing race week­ends due to TV rights deals. Busch said: “I heard Lewis was in trou­ble on Snapchat be­cause of the ac­cess he was giv­ing fans. NASCAR heard I was com­ing to a race so they wanted me to sign into their ac­count and pro­mote F1 on the NASCAR Snapchat chan­nel. In NASCAR you want to show the fans things.”
