British Touring Car Championship racer Hunter Abbott will take part in the next round of the British GT Championship at Spa at the wheel of a Grasser Racing Lamborghini Huracan.

The 35-year-old will join the Austrian team’s regular racer, Swiss driver Rolf Ineichen, for the two-hour race in the Ardennes. Abbott, who raced GT cars between 2006 and 2009, usually races a Power Maxed Racing Chevrolet Cruze in the BTCC.

Abbott said: “My old GT engineer works for Grasser, and he got in touch about this chance. We are in the middle of a long break between BTCC races and this fitted in perfectly for me.

“It will be the first time that I have driven a car with all the electronic gizmos and things like that, so it will be a challenge. But what better a track to experience that on than at Spa.”
