“This one was great, but also hard to take. I was run­ning fourth and fin­ished just a me­tre be­hind Daniel Ric­cia­rdo’s Red Bull at the flag. That was prob­a­bly the worst in terms of com­ing so close to the podium and hav­ing it snatched away. I’ve had other dra­mas too, like when my wheel fell off ex­it­ing the pits in 2011 when I was run­ning sec­ond. Mind you the 2014 week­end was very spe­cial though as I was hav­ing a tough time per­son­ally [af­ter the loss of his fa­ther John But­ton] and the fans gave me such fan­tas­tic sup­port.”
