Morgan will return to Chinese Touring Cars
British racer Adam Morgan will make his second appearance in the Chinese Touring Car Championship in November.
The BTCC driver, who regularly races a Ciceley Racing Mercedes-benz A-class, travelled to South Korea in July to contest two races for the 333 Racing team, and won the opener before an engine problem in the second ruled him out.
He was at the wheel of a two-litre turbocharged VW Lamando, which is equivalent to a European-style Passat car.
“It was a real last-minute deal, but a very exciting chance,” said Morgan. “The cars were great and the racing was competitive, but I clicked with the car really well. I want to get more chances to do that. I was there to help my teammates learn and I think I did that.”
Morgan said he has been invited back to take part in the final rounds of the championship in Shanghai. “The cars are Tcr-style, and there has been some talk of racing at Macau too. I would bite their arm off to get that chance,” said Morgan.
