Blow for Pritchard on Harry Flatters
Jason Pritchard suffered another blow to his title defence in the MSA British Historic Rally Championship when he failed to finish the Harry Flatters Historic Rally.
After going off on each of the preceding gravel events, Pritchard and codriver Phil Clarke retired from Epynt last weekend with engine issues.
Pritchard was second overall when the engine broke while flat out on the second stage.
“It was going really well and just let go. But Phil reckoned it was maybe the best I had ever driven until then,” he said.
Pritchard now needs strong scores on each of the four remaining rounds to have a shot at another title.
