Mole joins Field for the remainder of 2016

Motor Sport News - - Rally News -

Co-driver Claire Mole will return to the British Rally Championship on this month’s Ulster Rally.

Mole has partnered the likes of Gwyndaf Evans, Robbie Head, Euan Thorburn, Steve Perez and Louise AitkenWalker in the past.

“The last time I was in the BRC was with Neil Simpson in the Skoda [Fabia] S2000 in 2014,” said Mole, who will co-drive Fred Field in his Opel Adam Cup car on the event.

“I’ve not been in an Adam before and I’ve not met Fred yet either, if he’s like his dad he’ll be totally laid back.”

Fred is the son of Darrian driver Ashley, who won multiple rounds of the Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship in his newfor-2016 T90 GTR+ this year.

Both Ashley and Fred have registered for the BRC in the National Rally Cup class for non-fia homologated cars. Both warmed-up for the event on the ALMC Stages in July, with former 205 Challenge driver Ashley finishing 10th, but Fred retired with a failed gearbox mounting.
