Marco Wittmann es­tab­lished a strong lead in the DTM cham­pi­onship points af­ter a win and a podium at the Nur­bur­gring last week­end. The Ger­man – 2014 DTM cham­pion – in­her­ited pole af­ter a grid penalty for Lucas Auer, and stormed to a 7s vic­tory head­ing Brit Tom Blomqvist. Edoardo Mor­tara won the sec­ond race with Wittmann third, but the ti­tle leader’s main chal­lengers Jamie Green and Robert Wick­ens both fin­ished out of the points.
