John Hart

Motor Sport News - - Historics -

John Hart, who died recently aged 85 after a short illness, was a successful hillclimber before turning his attention to supporting the competition activities of his sons Greg and Doug.

John started sprinting and hillclimbing his JHS special in the late 1950s and early 1960s and then took a break before returning with the same car in the mid-1970s. He moved up to his first single-seater and enjoyed lots of success with a series of Brabhams.

As Greg and Doug started competing John scaled back his programme and supported his sons, notably in historic sports-racing cars like the Lola T210 and March 75S. MN sends condolences to his family and friends across the sport.
