Duffy wants Mull win after Fabia debut
Calum Duffy is targeting a win on the Mull Rally after a positive debut in his DEN Motorsport-built Skoda Fabia S2500.
The S2000 car has a 2.5-litre Millington engine, and Duffy managed 11th place on last week’s Clare Stages. The only issue was steering trouble on the car’s first competitive run.
“I’m very happy with that, the only problem was the power steering,” said Duffy. “The pump is electric and isn’t up to the power of the diffs. We can make it hydraulic so there’s options.
“We were driving with no power steering for most of the stages, I’m glad I work a chainsaw for a living as I wouldn’t have had a chance otherwise. We’re going to get a paddleshift on it too. It gave you a lot of confidence straight out of the box. There’s so much more to come from the car.”
