No team or­ders at RB

Red Bull has con­firmed no team or­ders were is­sued to driv­ers Daniel Ric­cia­rdo and Max Ver­stap­pen as they led the Malaysian Grand Prix. Af­ter Lewis Hamil­ton re­tired with en­gine fail­ure, the Red Bulls emerged in prime po­si­tion for vic­tory. But team boss Chris­tian Horner said no or­ders were given to stop them from fight­ing. “I in­structed both race engi­neers: ‘you are free to race, but make sure we pri­ori­tise 43 points. Ask the driv­ers to re­spect that’. They did.”
