Lynn to make sportscar debut with Manor
Alex Lynn will make his sportscar racing debut at the Fuji round of the World Endurance Championship with LMP2 outfit Manor later this month.
Williams development driver and GP2 racer Lynn will drive the British squad’s second ORECANissan 05 – not raced since July’s Nurburgring round – in Japan on October 16, pairing up with Tor Graves and one-time grand prix driver Shinji Nakano.
Lynn previously tested Toyota’s 2015 LMP1 challenger, the TS040 HYBRID, at the WEC rookie test in Bahrain last year, but his Japan outing will mark the first time he has raced a sportscar.
The Briton will also contest the final two events of the WEC season in Shanghai and Bahrain with Manor in November, again sharing with Graves. The team has not yet announced its third driver for the two final events.
