Harrison to race for charity cause
Formula Junior racer Andy Harrison is aiming to raise £5000 for Racing for Dementia at the HSCC Finals meeting at Silverstone (October 15/16).
Former Mini ace Harrison has switched to a 1960 Envoy this season and decided to try and raise money for the charity set up by Sir Jackie Stewart after his wife Helen was diagnosed with the condition.
“My father Peter passed away aged 77 last year and he had suffered from dementia,” said Harrison. “It was terrible as people who suffer with it lose who they are and also lose their soul.
“And it’s a very important day for me too as October 15 is my dad’s birthday, so I will be especially thinking of him.”
