Pryce aims for more rallycross after BRX debut
Osian Pryce has targeted a drive in a British Rallycross supercar after the rally man made his debut in the category late last month at Pembrey in South Wales.
Pryce was one of the guest drivers called in to drive in the RX150 category for rallycross buggies. The series has put star drivers in the car all year with over 30 drivers competing over the course of the season.
Pryce finished second, the only celebrity to get on the podium this year, and confirmed intent to compete in the discipline again.
“I’d definitely do it again and I’d like to try another series: I’d like to try a supercar as that’s seriously competitive,” said Pryce. “Everything comes at a cost though.”
Pryce believes that racecraft is the most difficult thing to adapt to as a rally driver.
“The first couple of heats were dramatic with plenty of contact going on,” he added. “It was quite frustrating: you’re up at the sharp end and you get shunted off.that’s part of the sport though I suppose.”
