Rallying returns to Mallory with autumn date secured
Rallying will return to Mallory Park this weekend for the first time since 2012.
The Eastham and District Motor Club has moved the Harold Palin Memorial Stages from Fulbeck to the Leicestershire venue after securing an October date.
The club previously ran a rally at the track in February 2012 but snow back then caused chaos.
Clerk of the course John Hickling said: “We tried an event there in February 2012 and of course it snowed. We’re looking forward to an event with good weather.
“The Harold Palin Memorial Stages is an established event that always runs on the first or second weekend of October. I approached Mallory and said ‘I want to run an event here’ and they were very enthusiastic about having a rally there again.”
The event is a round of the ANEMMC Stage Rally Championship and the EMAMC Single Venue Stage Rally Championship.
