SL: SL: MN: How hard is it driving a Supercar in the changeable conditions? SL: “It was more wet than dry (on Sunday) for sure. It was tricky, not easy when you have to manage the throttle and the balance of the car, and try to be smooth. We worked a lot to have a car that was easy to drive and that worked for us today.”

MN: Did you think that you and your team-mate (Timmy Hansen) could both finish on the podium after you collided in Q3? SL: “The situation was difficult, but Timmy lost the car by aquaplaning. He hit me but he did not want to do it. That’s life, we have to live with those kind of things but to end the weekend like this with both of us on the podium is a great result.” Mn:you’ve won in thewrc, World Touring Cars and now World RX. How does this compare to wins in other disciplines? SL: “It feels very nice, and when you have not won for a long time, because this is the first victory of the season, it feels really good. Things are looking good for the feature.”

MN: Can you fight for the top three in the championship? SL: “(Johan) Kristoffersson and (Andreas) Bakkerud scored big points in Latvia, so the gap is still similar to how it was before the weekend. I would prefer to be second or third than fifth if we cannot win the championship this year, but it’s a bit late in the year maybe. From this point we will fight to get a good results in the last races and see where we end up, but the most important thing is to improve the car for next year.”

MN: How does it feel to win your firstworld Rallycross event? MN: Did you expect to win race in your firstworld RX season?
