John Stone, co-driven by son Alex, headed the standings throughout in his Ford Fiesta S2500 eventually finishing five seconds clear of Ian and Lynn Rowlance’s MG Metro 6R4.
Martyn Tinker and Iain Peterson finished a comfortable third in their Lotus Exige after Geoff Roberts and Terry Martin missed a SS9 split in their Darrian T90. Darrian T9 pairing Brandon Smith and Chris Sharpe-simkiss grabbed fourth place by taking a second from the Sunbeam Lotus of Mike Taylor and Louise Gilks on the last stage.
Class C winners Howard Potter and Martin Haggett brought their Talbot Sunbeam home sixth ahead of John Darlington and Lauren Hewitt who survived a two-wheel moment in their Impreza. Class D winners Noel and Patrick Mcmullan had to contend with a fourth gear problem for most of the day but brought their Ford Escort Mk2 home eighth.
Dale and Mark Carter’s Astra and the Sunbeam Lotus of Cathy Sewart and Stuart Gilks completed the top 10.
