Newcomers head for junior BTRDA series showdown
Two rallycross newcomers will form part of a three-car Junior entry in the penultimate round of the BTRDA Clubmans Rallycross Championship this weekend at Blyton Park.
Former kart racer Morgan Wroot will start the event at favourite in his Suzuki Swift, having made his debut in the Junior Rallycross Championship at Lydden Hill in August, racing in the British Rallycross Championship, and challenged series frontrunners in Pembrey last month. The Doncaster driver will compete in his local event this weekend.
Geordie driver Laura Boak will race her Citroen C2 after 18 months of competing in autocross in the North East, and taking part in a rallycross test day at Blyton recently. Boak, daughter of racer Michael, joins her father on the entry list this weekend for the first time.
Jaidon Bennet will complete the Junior line-up, racing a 1400cc SEAT Arosa. The 14-year-old has spent his first season of competition competing in South-west autocross events.
