New­com­ers head for ju­nior BTRDA se­ries show­down

Two rallycross new­com­ers will form part of a three-car Ju­nior en­try in the penul­ti­mate round of the BTRDA Club­mans Rallycross Cham­pi­onship this week­end at Bly­ton Park.

For­mer kart racer Mor­gan Wroot will start the event at favourite in his Suzuki Swift, hav­ing made his de­but in the Ju­nior Rallycross Cham­pi­onship at Ly­d­den Hill in Au­gust, rac­ing in the Bri­tish Rallycross Cham­pi­onship, and chal­lenged se­ries fron­trun­ners in Pem­brey last month. The Don­caster driver will com­pete in his lo­cal event this week­end.

Ge­ordie driver Laura Boak will race her Citroen C2 af­ter 18 months of com­pet­ing in au­tocross in the North East, and tak­ing part in a rallycross test day at Bly­ton re­cently. Boak, daugh­ter of racer Michael, joins her father on the en­try list this week­end for the first time.

Jaidon Ben­net will com­plete the Ju­nior line-up, rac­ing a 1400cc SEAT Arosa. The 14-year-old has spent his first sea­son of com­pe­ti­tion com­pet­ing in South-west au­tocross events.
