Louis Dele­traz claimed the For­mula V8 3.5 points lead at Jerez last week­end as erst­while leader Tom Dill­mann man­aged a best re­sult of eighth. The pair col­lided in the open­ing race – with Dele­traz given a 10-sec­ond penalty for caus­ing the con­tact – while sec­ond in race two handed Dele­traz the lead. Cus­toms rules have pre­vented the team from get­ting an en­gine to the Chi­nese round this week­end and the team de­cided it wouldn’t be worth com­pet­ing in the Bahrain sea­son fi­nale as the Gib­son would be given a three-minute penalty for ex­ceed­ing its en­gine al­lo­ca­tion for the year…
