ELECTRIC RALLYCROSS CAR STUNS ON COMPETITIVE DEBUT

It’s quite possible they will find employment at two of the three teams that Ogier doesn’t join. The natural assumption is that Latvala will join what’s fast becoming a Finnish superteam at Toyota, which would leave Mikkelsen at M-sport or Citroen.
Sources closest to the teams have indicated a preference for Mikkelsen, given his younger age and potentially lower salary demands. Latvala has struggled with more mechanical issues than any other factory Polo R WRC this season and his current position of sixth in the drivers’ championship won’t be endearing him to employers.
It’s increasingly clear, however, that this could well drag on into next month – with the closing date for Monte Carlo Rally entries and FIA driver nominations bringing matters to a conclusion in the middle of December.
