Kew and his father sign up for Best in Britain

-

National Hot Rod racer Jason Kew will be joined on the grid by his father Chris at the Best in Britain meeting at Wimbledon on November 20.

It will mark a return to competitive action for Kew Sr, who was a leading Hot Rod racer 15 years ago and won the Best in Britain at Wimbledon in 2001. His son Jason won the event in 2015.

This year’s will be the last Best in Britain crown disputed at the south west London venue as it is facing redevelopment early next season.

Chris, who has not raced a National Hot Rod for 14 years but has undertaken some testing, explained: “This is just a one-off for some fun and it is a nice way to mark the last Best in Britain meeting at the track. It is a track that has been kind to myself and to Jason, so it will be quite special to be out there together.”

The non-points scoring National Hot Rod showdown will feature in the second meeting of the two-part Best in Britain meeting on November 20. The event starts at 1730hrs and will be supported by Classic Hot Rods and Historic Stock Cars.
