Kimi’s big crash

Motor Sport News - - Racing News -

Kimi Raikkonen reckons there was nothing he could do to prevent his frightening exit from the Brazilian GP. The Finn lost control of his Ferrari shortly after a race restart, sliding across the main straight with cars scattering to avoid him as he ploughed into the pitwall. Raikkonen said: “It wasn’t raining heavily, it was just easy to get aquaplaning. The minute you get patches of standing water you are just going to aquaplane. Once you hit those patches, there is zero you can do. I spun, almost got it back, but went off in a very bad place. Fortunately nobody hit me.”
