Skuzzle Motorsport faced multiple engine dramas during the Race of Remembrance last weekend. The squad’s turbocharged Mazda MX-5 blew its engine during testing so it obtained a spare engine from a local scrapyard and started from the pitlane. Having climbed to 14th, the car was back in the pits with another engine failure. “So we tried to make one good engine from the bits of the other too, and managed to start it up,” said driver John Munro. It failed again and sat in the pits until the last lap, when Nick Bailey, Nick Horne and Stuart Mckay joined Munro to push the car over the line and take the flag.
