Stars re­called with Good­wood races

Four new races will fea­ture at the Good­wood Mem­bers’ Meet­ing in March, capped by the Pier­point Cup for pre ’67 Amer­i­can V8 saloon cars.

The race is named af­ter 1965 Bri­tish Saloon Car cham­pion Roy Pier­point, who took the ti­tle in an Alan Mann Rac­ing­pre­pared Ford Mus­tang.

The Varzi Tro­phy will be for pre-war French and Ital­ian Grand Prix and Voi­turette cars and is named af­ter Ital­ian ace Achille Varzi.

The mem­ory of Archie Scott Brown will be hon­oured by a new race for all models of Lis­ter sports cars that raced up to 1966, while the Wes­lake Cup caters for A-se­riesen­gined sports and GT cars that raced be­tween 1958 and 1966.
