Force In­dia and Manor re­quest ad­vanced funds

Both Force In­dia and Manor have re­quested ad­vanced pay­ments from For­mula One Man­age­ment in or­der to ease the stress of de­vel­op­ment of their all-new 2017 cars.

Both teams sub­mit­ted sim­i­lar re­quests to F1 head Bernie Ec­cle­stone last sea­son also as the cur­rent pay­ments – which are cal­cu­lated on con­struc­tors’ cham­pi­onship po­si­tion and his­tor­i­cal sta­tus – only run from Fe­bru­ary through to Novem­ber.

With teams gear­ing up de­vel­op­ment for the new high-down­force, wider and more pow­er­ful cars set for 2017, costs for this win­ter are ex­pected to be higher.

Force In­dia’s re­quest is un­der­stood to be to al­le­vi­ate cash­flow is­sues dur­ing the win­ter break.
