French GP back
The French Grand Prix will return after a 10-year hiatus in 2018 after a new deal with Paul Ricard. Contemporary F1 cars ran at the track in January for Pirelli tyre testing. Paul Ricard last hosted the French GP in 1990 and each year until its brief closure in 1999 when Magny Cours took it over until 2008. France hosted the very first GP way in 1906, but lost the race after 2008 due to financial difficulties.
