Lister Motor Company to begin build of Lister Costin continuations
The Lister Motor Company is to build a run of continuation models of the late 1950s Lister Costin sports-racing car.
The Jaguar-engined car was designed by aerodynamicist Frank Costin and used a low- drag alloy body. Period examples were raced by drivers like Stirling Moss and Ivor Bueb and were capable of over 180mph. Now, Lister is to build continuation cars from original chassis jigs, with input from three of the original Lister engineers.
Each car will cost £295,000 plus VAT and will come complete with HTP documents to allow it to be raced in certain historic events.
